LED uplights, Rope lights, Bubble plastics,
and steel frames. Dimension:

Constructed
with bubble plastic sheet into an organic
forms. The structures are suspended from
the steel frames at top and bottom with
fishing wires to the street poles so that
its bodies are freely moved by wind but
keeping the form. Color-changing LED fixtures
are installed at the center of each structure
aiming to the top and project various colors
to the bubble structures. The bubble structures
glow their bodies per artist's playful and
organic programmed light shows.

Water drips and light glows from the organic
centerpiece that can be peeped between the
dome shaped petals. Viewers are invited to
walk around and inside of the dome freely,
and to explore the sacred space in the park,
the secular public space. Revived from Mastaba
(1988).

| This
piece merges the tangbible and the virtual
to create a simulated "blood bath."
Viewers are encouragd to control the amount
of water from faucet that fills a tank of
water. Flush underneath the plexiglas tank,
a video monitor projects the color red, thus
transforming the water into "blood."
Once filled, the water and the red color dissipate,
only to refill again. |
